<p>The video from Microsoft Technet (<a href="http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/dd671583.aspx" target="_blank">link</a>) shows you how to  migrate from <a href="http://tnerd.com/tag/windows-xp/" class="st_tag internal_tag" rel="tag" title="Posts tagged with Windows XP">Windows XP</a> to <a href="http://tnerd.com/tag/windows-7/" class="st_tag internal_tag" rel="tag" title="Posts tagged with windows 7">Windows 7</a> step by step.</p>
<p>The technique  uses a Windows utility called User State Migration Tool (USMT) which ports all the  files and users settings to <a href="http://tnerd.com/tag/windows-7/" class="st_tag internal_tag" rel="tag" title="Posts tagged with windows 7">Windows 7</a>.</p>
<p>The migration  might not be as easy to do as you might think but the video will get you  through.</p>
