Well, twitter has become much more than that, at least to some of us and services like TwitCaps compliment the core functionality of Twitter.

TwitCaps visually shows you what’s happening on Twitter. It captures all the images that are being currently shared on Twitter and shows you real time.

These images can then be re-tweeted, shared, e-mailed, etc.. As twitter is a place for annoying people as well, TwitCaps lets you filter out images/messages from the selected Twitter users. If you don’t like images from a particular user, just add the user ID to the filter, it can’t get any simpler.

Or if you’d like to view images only from your friends, simply select the option “Friends Cap” or simply perform a search with the Twitter ID e.g. from:<Twitter ID>

The duo linked the existing technology with Twitter which makes sending messages just by thinking, a reality. This technique might not sound very significant to people like you and me but it means a lot to someone suffering from locked-in syndrome whose brains work but body does not.

The technology works by showing a virtual keyboard on the screen where the person trying to Tweet focuses on one alphabet at a time and type in the entire message.  Once the complete message is punched in, just focus on “TWIT” on the screen and send the message to Twitter.

Site also offers a Twistori screensaver for Mac users, unfortunately it does not offer any such utility for windows, however, you can use screensaver utilities such as HTML Screensaver which set html pages as screensaver on your windows desktop.

This applications does all the regular stuff that a regular Twitter application is expected to do + it lets you post pictures to twitter from within the application. The photo service is comes from a Twitroid exclusive service called photroid.com

The application is expected to hit the market before the phone is launched, that is before 22nd of October.

Android is expected to attract more developers in the long run as the platform is embraced by a lot of phone manafacturers and we will start seeing phones being released based on Android platofrm, in simple words Android application market is expected to be bigger than iPhone Apps.
