<p><a href="http://twitter.com/tnerd" target="_blank">I</a> started pretty late on <a href="http://twitter.com/tnerd" target="_blank">Twitter</a> (couple of months ago,) however <a href="http://tnerd.com/tag/followers/" class="st_tag internal_tag" rel="tag" title="Posts tagged with followers">followers</a> have been coming on to the list on regular basis. </p>
<p> For those of you who have not signed up with <a href="http://twitter.com" target="_blank">Twitter</a> yet.. it&rsquo;s not too late.. <a href="http://twitter.com/signup" target="_blank">join now</a>. <a href="http://tnerd.com/tag/twitter/" class="st_tag internal_tag" rel="tag" title="Posts tagged with Twitter">Twitter</a> is based on a simple concept but people are turning this application/concept/service into something unimaginable (<a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wkMXpKmRXvU&amp;eurl=http://blog.makezine.com/archive/2009/01/washing_machine_sends_messages_to_t.html?CMP=OTC-0D6B48984890&amp;feature=player_embedded" rel="shadowbox[post-2580];player=swf;width=640;height=385;" target="_blank">check this washing machine out which is programmed to twitter once it&rsquo;s done washing</a>). </p>
<p> This is one service that is changing so fast and offering so much more than what it initially did. I bet there is nobody in the tech world who can predict what <a href="http://tnerd.com/tag/twitter/" class="st_tag internal_tag" rel="tag" title="Posts tagged with Twitter">Twitter</a> will offer in a year from now, no one! </p>
<p> Here is a new <a href="http://tnerd.com/tag/twitter/" class="st_tag internal_tag" rel="tag" title="Posts tagged with Twitter">Twitter</a> based service (<a href="http://TweetYourEats.com" target="_blank">TweetYourEats.com</a>) which will help you track your daily intake of calories and help you stay fit whether that means losing weight or just controlling your diet. </p>
<p>  <strong>So how does <a href="http://TweetYourEats.com" target="_blank">TweetYourEats.com</a> work?</strong></p>
<p> <span id="more-2580"></span>Every time you have something just send a direct message to <a href="http://twitter.com/tyeats" target="_blank">@tyeats</a> and that stores that message in your <a href="http://TweetYourEats.com" target="_blank">TweetYourEats.com</a> account. The next time you login to the account you can see a list of things you ate, this is where you can edit the calorie, carbs and fat information. </p>
<p> This way you can track your diet and balance it out if required. </p>
<p> Watch the following video to see this application in action&hellip;</p>
<p align="center">   <object width="400" height="225"><param name="allowfullscreen" value="true" /><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always" /><param name="movie" value="http://vimeo.com/moogaloop.swf?clip_id=2554400&amp;server=vimeo.com&amp;show_title=1&amp;show_byline=1&amp;show_portrait=0&amp;color=&amp;fullscreen=1" /><embed width="400" height="225" src="http://vimeo.com/moogaloop.swf?clip_id=2554400&amp;server=vimeo.com&amp;show_title=1&amp;show_byline=1&amp;show_portrait=0&amp;color=&amp;fullscreen=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowfullscreen="true" allowscriptaccess="always"></embed></object>   <br />   <a href="http://vimeo.com/2554400">TweetYourEats.com &#8211; Tutorial #1</a> from <a href="http://vimeo.com/user1049699">Tweet Your Eats</a> on <a href="http://vimeo.com">Vimeo</a>.</p>
<p><a href="http://TweetYourEats.com" target="_blank">TweetYourEats.com</a> is not released yet, however you can signup for beta. </p>
<p> I think it&rsquo;s a great Idea, but there is something missing.. could somebody do something about manually entering the calories, carbs, and fat information? Can this stuff be automated? That&#8217;ll be cool right?</p>

The next redefining moment in the evolution of Internet for me was the genesis of the concept of user generated content. I can never believe, what myspace and youtube achieved, in the short stint that they&#8217;ve been around. Blogging has had it&#8217;s own place and moments, but for what has redefined web very recently is concept of mini blogging and I don&#8217;t know for you what comes to mind when someone says mini blogging. For me there&#8217;s no other word but <a href="http://tnerd.com/tag/twitter/" class="st_tag internal_tag" rel="tag" title="Posts tagged with Twitter">Twitter</a> that is almost synonymous to mini blogging and I try to keep finding ways of staying along with <a href="http://tnerd.com/tag/twitter/" class="st_tag internal_tag" rel="tag" title="Posts tagged with Twitter">Twitter</a> day in and day out in spite of hectic schedule.</p>
<p align="justify"><span id="more-1295"></span></p>
<p align="justify">For a blogger (I can start putting myself in that elite category), every day is a new challenge to come up with ideas to blog. And I think professional blogging some where takes away from me the personal part of my web life. I love <a href="http://tnerd.com/tag/twitter/" class="st_tag internal_tag" rel="tag" title="Posts tagged with Twitter">Twitter</a> for this very reason that it somewhere saves my personal life on the web. I know many of the bloggers use it to beautiful market their blog and work and I have nothing against this philosophy. <a href="http://tnerd.com/tag/twitter/" class="st_tag internal_tag" rel="tag" title="Posts tagged with Twitter">Twitter</a> for me is more than a platform to show off my blog posts.</p>
<p align="justify">Sometimes, I get too involved in making a point and this post is an outcome of one such involvement. What I wanted to discuss here is that <a href="http://tnerd.com/tag/twitter/" class="st_tag internal_tag" rel="tag" title="Posts tagged with Twitter">twitter</a> is a great way keeping a record of what you were doing in your life and this demands for backing up <a href="http://tnerd.com/tag/tweets/" class="st_tag internal_tag" rel="tag" title="Posts tagged with Tweets">tweets</a> so you can cherish the moments reading your <a href="http://tnerd.com/tag/tweets/" class="st_tag internal_tag" rel="tag" title="Posts tagged with Tweets">tweets</a> even after 20 years. So, how do we take a backup of <a href="http://tnerd.com/tag/tweets/" class="st_tag internal_tag" rel="tag" title="Posts tagged with Tweets">tweets</a>? There&#8217;s a good solution to this in the form of <a href="http://tweetake.com/">Tweetake</a>.</p>
<p align="justify"><a href="http://tnerd.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/08/tweekake.png" rel="shadowbox[post-1295];player=img;"><img class="alignright alignnone size-full wp-image-1297" style="border: 0pt none; float: right; margin-left: 5px; margin-right: 5px;" title="tweekake" src="http://tnerd.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/08/tweekake.png" alt="" width="208" height="92" /></a>Tweetake allows you to take a backup of the following:</p>
<div>
<ul>
<li><a href="http://tnerd.com/tag/followers/" class="st_tag internal_tag" rel="tag" title="Posts tagged with followers">Followers</a></li>
<li>Friends</li>
<li>Favorites</li>
<li>Your <a href="http://tnerd.com/tag/tweets/" class="st_tag internal_tag" rel="tag" title="Posts tagged with Tweets">Tweets</a></li>
<li>Everything</li>
</ul>
</div>
<p align="justify">Just enter your login credentials and select what backup you want. However, you would have to shut down your <a href="http://tnerd.com/tag/twitter/" class="st_tag internal_tag" rel="tag" title="Posts tagged with Twitter">Twitter</a> client like tweetdeck, twhirl and others.</p>
<p align="justify">In case you want to follow a manual method, follow the steps below courtesy <a href="http://tweetcrunch.com/2008/07/26/backup-your-friends-and-followers-on-twitter/">tweetcrunch</a>:</p>
<p align="justify">1. Put <a href="http://twitter.com/statuses/followers.xml">http://twitter.com/statuses/followers.xml</a> in your address bar of your browser.<br />
2. Save this page in your browser and read it as an XML file, with for example excel. If you have a lot of <a href="http://tnerd.com/tag/followers/" class="st_tag internal_tag" rel="tag" title="Posts tagged with followers">followers</a> then use <a href="http://twitter.com/statuses/followers.xml?page=2">http://twitter.com/statuses/followers.xml?page=2</a> and so on.<br />
3. For your friends use the same process with this link <a href="http://twitter.com/statuses/friends.xml">http://twitter.com/statuses/friends.xml</a></p>
<p align="justify">Have a good time Tweeting. You can follow TNerd.com on <a href="http://tnerd.com/tag/twitter/" class="st_tag internal_tag" rel="tag" title="Posts tagged with Twitter">twitter</a> at <a href="http://twitter.com/tnerd">http://twitter.com/tnerd</a>.</p>
