Just because the domains are expiring does not mean that they are not important, remember, they were registered for a reason in the first place.

This is not only the best time to keep an eye on the expiring domains but also to acquire existing parked domains which are due to expire in the near future. So don’t hesitate to contact webmasters with a decent offer and you might just buy yourself a domain you have been long waiting for.

Now lets run a query “record yahoo webcam” on Google, now notice, results on the first page have at least two domains which have the exact same sub domains as the query. If you look further you will see similar sub domains sometimes from the same site as well. What’s interesting about it is that these are search term sub-domains, I’ll call them “Search Domains” of a site.

This technique certainly seems to work, however, I just hope someone used some technology to automate it. If it is automated it should create “Search Domains” either from the Tag Cloud’s or the Keyword log from your web analytics tool.

I did search a little bit to see if any such software is available which converts Tag Cloud to “Search Domains” but all I came across was “SubExpress” which is good for quick “Search Domain” creation but it does require certain amount of manual effort (which is not always bad).

Following article has a good read about how sub domains are better than folders or directories. I recommend you to read just “Pros” for sub domains or add-on domains, rest is not very important.
