For example, you are not allowed to uninstall <a class="zem_slink" title="Internet Explorer" rel="homepage" href="http://www.microsoft.com/windows/products/winfamily/ie/default.mspx">Internet Explorer</a> or for that matter Windows Media Player. Also, when you update a component of windows you are not allowed to keep the older version. Nor is there a way to install a previous version.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">If you are a normal user like me, then this might not affect you too much. However, if you are a developer or application tester, I am sure you&#8217;d want to have previous versions of Internet Explorer in order to check the compatibility of the site you have designed. After all not all people are savvy enough to have updated to newer version of Internet Explorer.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><span id="more-1975"></span></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">One of the solutions is to have different machines with different version of Internet Explorer. In short you should have at least 3-5 machines considering all the versions of IE. In a big organization this might be possible. But if are a free lancer having the luxury and inconvenience of so many machine is not a bright idea.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">To cater to this need of yours, now there&#8217;s a solution to run all the versions of internet explorer on the same machine. This is a small software that installs all the versions of Internet Explorer from IE 3 to <a class="zem_slink" title="Internet Explorer 6" rel="homepage" href="http://www.microsoft.com/windows/ie/ie6/default.mspx">IE 6</a>. The software is called as <a href="http://tredosoft.com/files/multi-ie/multiple-ie-setup.exe">multiple-ie-setup</a>. While installing this application you can choose to install which ever version of IE you want to install. This software is developed by a company called as <a href="http://tredosoft.com/">ToredoSoft</a>. These guys have also developed <a href="http://tredosoft.com/IE7_standalone">IE7 Standalone Launch Program</a>, in case you need <a class="zem_slink" title="Internet Explorer 7" rel="homepage" href="http://www.microsoft.com/windows/products/winfamily/ie/default.mspx">IE 7</a>.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><a href="http://tnerd.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/10/multipleiemain.png" rel="shadowbox[post-1975];player=img;"><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-1978" title="multipleiemain" src="http://tnerd.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/10/multipleiemain.png" alt="" width="500" height="400" /></a></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Now you can enjoy testing your website on multiple versions of Internet Explorer. However, this software is only made for <a class="zem_slink" title="Windows XP" rel="homepage" href="http://www.microsoft.com/windows/products/windowsxp/">Windows XP</a> and I had bad experience with vista.</p>
