But the restaurant management is working on improving the service as well. Paradise is the only restaurant I have seen in Hyderabad which is making use of HP PDAs to improve their service by making their process of taking orders from the customers and serving food seamless.

Each of the waiters taking order has one of the HP PDA’s with a custom application installed on it. The application is designed and pre-feeded with the restaurants menu and each dish is numbered. As the order is placed waiters just enter the Table Number and Dish number. Once the order is placed, it is sent to the kitchen wirelessly.

As soon as the order is received at the kitchen the dishes are kept ready to be served. This certainly saves a lot of time as waiters don’t have to go to the kitchen after taking every order.

It’s nice to see that such technologies are being embraced by local businesses in our cities, what’s even more encouragine is that the businesses have started thinking about problem solving in terms of technology.

The shift in mindset of local business is very important to bring technological development at the root level in society and thats exactly this restaurant has done.
