However, if you want to have KDE as your desktop manager then either you can directly download Kubuntu or <a href="http://tnerd.com/2008/11/01/install-kde-41-on-ubuntu-810-in-3-easy-steps/" target="_blank">install KDE</a>. However, one of our <a href="http://tnerd.com/2008/11/01/install-kde-41-on-ubuntu-810-in-3-easy-steps/#comments" target="_blank">reader</a> requested us on how to remove KDE. I was not sure what could be the reason for <a href="http://tnerd.com/tag/removing-kde/" class="st_tag internal_tag" rel="tag" title="Posts tagged with removing kde">removing KDE</a>.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><span id="more-2354"></span></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">So let&#8217;s see what are the ways in which we can remove/uninstall KDE from Ubuntu. I am not a big advocate of <a href="http://tnerd.com/tag/removing-kde/" class="st_tag internal_tag" rel="tag" title="Posts tagged with removing kde">removing KDE</a> from Ubuntu, so we&#8217;ll also see how to get back on GNome and set it as default desktop manager for every logged in session. So let&#8217;s begin by seeing how to revert to Gnome as the default desktop manager while still keeping KDE</p>
