We just caught 3M’s latest pocket projector in action at the CES 2010 and were pretty amused by the interesting features it bears under the small sized pocket friendly hood. The device is presently on display at CES 2010 Las Vegas and we’ve got you a video of the same.

It’s called 3M Mpro 150 – It’s not just a projector, it’s a presentation, preservation, preparation, production, progression perfection, that’s perhaps the marketing punch of the 3M for this gizmo but it’s impressively stated.

This new pocket projector from 3M lets you view your office presentation including almost all the ms office apps formats through MS powerpoint, MS Excel and even PDF files so that you can be at liberty to choose from the widest range of platform supports.
When you are not busy demonstrating business strategies in the board room meetings, you can directly connect your iPhone, iPod Touch devices to the 3M pocket projector and expand the fun on a magnified display with 15 lumens brightness, good enough to fill the fun in a dark room.

The 3M portable projector also lets you view snapshots and videos in mpeg and mp4 formats right from its 1Gigabyte of internal storage unless you wish to expand the memory using a micro SD flash card or try to stream the data using an external accessory like an iPod or iPhone.

It’s has a set of button controls on its face, a microSD card slot on one of its side edges and an enticing hardware look and comfortable feel, particularly talking about the velvet-black look contrasted with a touch of shiny silver buttons.

This 3M pocket projector can rest on a flip stand incarcerated into the base of the projector or you may also choose to rest it over a tripod stand when need is to adjust the angles and height.

In the video, Toby demonstrates us how the 3M pico projector displays a spreadsheet effectively just like any portable projector, and seemingly suggests that it’s good enough to carry around in your pockets for displays your business statistics and other leisure of entertainment.

A few still shots projected through the pocket projector are proof enough that it is not very much different than any table top projector that seeks comfort in labs. When this is done, you can also enjoy quite a number of music videos appraising its embedded stereo speaker.

The device is available for about $395 starting February this year for the US markets and is good enough to be called as a home theater on your palm.

Fuchi View, an organization basking on LCD products, has announced its first ever Pico projector. It’s a USB Pico Projector that’s small enough to easily grip in your hands and sleek enough to find a place in your shirt’s pocket.

It’s a USB pocket projector with about 1GB of in-built memory, 0.5W audio output support and a LED lamp with 12,000yrs life time. It connects to your system through a mini USB port with a contrast ratio of 260:1 to deliver a display resolution of 640×480 pixels.

The projected display can be adjusted resized from as small as 5 inches to as large as 65 inches. It plays all the popular multimedia video formats like JPG, BMP, AVI, MOV, DivX, XviD, 3GP and MP4.

Alternatively, it is powered by a a couple of AA batteries or an AC adapter while the mini USB port can be used for feeding the video into the USB projector.

Sad that, there are no details on support for powerpoint presentations, which is something more of an intent for most of the Pocket Projectors.

If you run short of memory, you may add up some extra storage using a SD memory card and expand your gallery storage for more fun, more entertainment. There is also a headphone jack, so you can plug in your favorite headsets when you feel like enjoying your pocket theater all alone.

If you are interested in the product, contact Fuchi View on +886-2-2278-7272 for further details or click here to visit the USB Pocket Projector product page.

You can also write to Fuchi View at fuchiview@fuchiview.com for further details on price specs and availability.

Here is another interesting portable projector for you. It looks like a harmonica with a set of useful buttons embroidered on its face. The MPJ-104WCE as it is named, was announced by LancerLink, a Japan-based corporation very recently.

Quick Highlights? The device is basically a 10 lumens pico projector that projects images of 640*240 resolution 32inches diagonally using a set of white LEDs and an LCoS (liquid crystal on silicon) for the display.

Something that you’ll not appreciate about the device is that it does not connect with external video input sources. That means, the device does not accept any input data for presentation from your laptop or computer. Rather it accesses input from its internal memory or a SD expansion card.

For the same reason, it also incorporates Microsoft Office Viewers to display MS Word, MS Powerpoint and other supported Microsoft file formats. And it supports entertainment formats like WMV, AVI, MPEG, BMP, JPEG, MP3, WMA, or WAV for that extra fun.

A couple of speakers, support for using an external USB keyboard and mouse, 64MB RAM and 64MB flash memory form some interesting list of features for this gizmo. It runs Windows CE 5.0 and is powered by an ARM9-based 400 MHz Samsung S3C2442 processor.

It runs for about 2hours on a single charge and will be sold for about $576 (or 49,800 Japanese Yen). Yes, that’s so because it’s presently sale-bound to Japanese markets only but will probably make it to the global markets very soon.
