After battling with the refinements in the beta version of the Opera 10 for quite a few weeks, the Opera developers have final rolled out the final release for us. Yes, Opera 10 has been publicly released.

The tabbed browsing experience just got better with the visual tabs that display website thumbnails for easy browsing. Improved handling of Java Scripts make the web experience suave while the sleek new interface just gives a fresh new feeling of the web. And that’s why we say, Opera Reinvented.

The Opera 10 also features a very innovative feature called ‘Turbo’ mode which is very useful for snail-slow connections as the ‘Turbo’ mode uses Opera’s powerful servers to compress web pages and enhance speed. Don’t believe what you read? Check out the Acid Test statistics.

When it comes to web applications, the Opera 10 is equipped with Opera Presto 2.2 engine that render resource-intensive pages like Facebook and gmail to up to 40% faster. It also supports widgets, so you can include your favorites like Facebook, Crossword Puzzles and other such widgets.

The latest Opera release also lets you to personalize you browser with lots of skins, buttons and even layouts for the browser, something for which we love Firefox. It has many other features like ability to reopen closed tabs, a password manager, an inline spell checker, web services integration for email clients and comes in 42 languages besides being compatible with Windows, Max and Linux OSs.

I have been using Firefox (v 3.5.2) and Opera (v 9.63 )in parallel for the last few days, but now Opera 10 seems to have improved a lot both in terms of speed and performance. At one instance, it seemed to me that Opera 10 rendered pages almost faster than Firefox.

Although one thing that upset me was that Yahoo mail (new) does not support the browser completely and you’ll have to switch to Yahoo mail classic for viewing on Opera.

Click here to Download Opera 10 if you wish to try this innovative browser experience for free.
