Nokia’s 12 megapixel camera phone has been on the rumor hub for quite some time now and if the latest rumors were to be believed, Nokia is planning to launch it sometime soon this year.

Nokia 87, now also known as Nokia N8-00 is Nokia’s first-ever mobile phone to come with a 12 mega pixel camera and the Symbian^3 OS, and not Symbian S60 v5 OS that we had to reported earlier to justice to the leaks.

The 12 megapixel camera lens should undoubtedly get you in love with photography while the 720p video recording support will bolster your cinematic affairs. And you can reflect this expertise on a HDMI supported big-screen TV.

A lot of things have been brushed-out from the previous beliefs and the new ‘leaked’ revelations suggest some entirely different tech specs except for the 12 mega pixel camera support.

Now, the Nokia N87 12MP (Nokia N8-00) is believed to sport a 3.5 inch WVGA capacitive touch screen display with multitouch support with gestures and the latest Symbian OS.

It’s loaded with the new Symbian^3 OS which promises to be three times faster and simpler than the existing Symbian platforms besides getting you the much-needed Multi-touch support with gestures.

Featured : The Next Gen Symbian OS

The leaks are running short of details on further tech specs but we are suspecting Bluetooth and Wi-Connecitivity, an A-GPS system with turn-by-turn navigation, which is most likely a possible feature as Nokia is offering Ovi Maps for free.

As per the earlier unofficial revelations, the Nokia N87 aka Nokia N8-00 should be adequately loaded to help you with the deals of the web, music and video entertainment and of course, social networking app, which should come preloaded with the box.

That’s where we confine to pronounce the revealed words and begin to wait for any official notices or announcements from Nokia in this regard. And we’ve no choice but to believe that MWC should be the right time and place for Nokia to make an official announcement about the Nokia N8-00.

Also, Nokia is planning to announce Nokia N98, a high end smart phone with 4-inch touchscreen display and a QWERTY keypad under the side-sliding display. It is believed to feature a Symbian OS and should pack in about 32GB of internal storage space.

Nokia is allegedly working on bring back some of its best-ever phones back to life in new avatars which is also one of the reason that it is ‘rebranding’ its series notations for cell phones which should now go as follows-

C Series - supposed to be low-end candy bar phones

E Series – Will continue targeting the business sectors/ emails solutions

N Series – High End competitive phones (earlier ‘N’ signified ‘entertainment’)

S Series – Premium and Luxury phones / Limited Edition Phones

X Series – Multimedia and Music-angled phones that ‘Come With Music’

The MWC due to start on Monday should serve us some more juice. Meanwhile, you can click here for more details.
