Hewlett Packard has always been our best favorite when it comes to picking up from the plethora of brands that provide us imaging (print, scan and copy) experience – though not many of them are as good as HP. And this time, HP has pioneered the World’s First Web-connected Printer -The HP Photosmart Premium with Smart Touch Web (Pictured Below).

The Smart Touch Web enabled HP Photosmart Premium features a 4.33” LCD touch screen – the largest yet for any inkjet printer in the market.

Its smart UI is packed with an innovative feature called Touch Smart Web though which you can browse the web, flick through the thumb nail views and click on one to open its web page.

It is a printer, scanner, fax machine and now a smart touch platform for web browsing. It can print up to 33 copies per minute, scan at 4800 x 9600 DPI and stores up to 60 phonebook entries as fax numbers.

The all in one printer produces laser quality text documents and lab quality photo prints. It can also print fax documents, photo albums, calendars and much more.

HP is also coming up with an application store called HP Apps Studio for its Photo Premium printer that will offer users access to applications like Google Maps, Web Sudoku for puzzles, Fandango for movie tickets and calendars, kid-friendly from Nickelodeon, USA TODAY for latest news and innumerable many more.

Furthermore, open source developers will probably work to develop a hefty sum of widgets for the printer using its Open API or even you can do the same, provided you are good at it or wait until some new ones hit the HP Apps Store.

You can print directly from the internet, without even having to boot your PC. You can connect the HP Photo Premium to compatible devices using its USB 2.0, Ethernet, Bluetooth and the device even comes with Wi-Fi support.

That means, you can quickly print your favorite photos from any Bluetooth and Wi-Fi enabled device or PC, even from your iPhone / iPod Touch using HP iPrint Photo and do more than just bragging your wireless printer, though you’ll have every reason to.

It is compatible with Microsoft® Windows Vista™ or XP SP1 or higher; Mac OS X v10.4, v10.5 or v10.6 and is Windows 7 ready.

All these superior features are just the base, there is a whole lot more of substance in the HP PhotoSmart that fills up the space to the apex. The Touch Smart enabled HP Photosmart Premium will debut in United States for a price tag of $399 this September.
