This lets you get the latest on your Google talk by sending a message to the IBNLive GTalk Buddy.

All you have to do is add "im@ibnalerts.com" to your friends list on Google Talk, thats all. Now whenever you want to know whats happening around the world just send a message "Top" to im@ibnalerts.com and get the latest news delivered at your Google Talk.

Another option to get the latest news at regular intervals is by subscribing to the news. Message "s top" to im@ibnalerts.com.

IBNlive.com has been one of the most advanced online news portals in India and the entire credit goes to the the technical team of IBNLive (kudos to you guys!). It would’nt be wrong if I say that they are setting new standards in online news media and rest of the news portals are playing the catch up game. Being on “Always Idle” you can chat away without being noticed on the IM.

This feature comes handy when putting yourself in Busy mode on Google Talk does not help much, this way you can chat and continue working even on Idle mode.

The software is created by an ex-Manager at Microsoft who wanted more control over GTalk.

Group Chat is not a new invention in IM clients but does add value to Gtalk. Google Talk is considered to be one of the only IM clients with clean interface. This interface is currently launched on web based IM in Gmail.

Now that this feature is launched on the web interface I don’t think it will take long before it is added to the Client software as well.
