However, the service has the potential to completely justify the punchline. Let’s quickly see what the service provider has to say about the service before exploring the various features and pros and cons of it.

The new way to search using only your mouse Select text on any web page or document and KallOut does the rest.

Let’s quickly see what’s the basic purpose of KallOut. For the convenience of the readers I have taken tried to demonstrate the functionality of KallOut from within this post itself.

Once you have successfully installed KallOut just select the text from within supported application (in this case new way to search) and you’ll notice a small blue balloon marked with a red arrow in the screenshot below.

Now quickly take a look at what else can KallOut do for you. Boasts of searching information 10x faster (I am not sure how they calculated the 10x factor), KallOut actually reduces your search time. Not that Firefox, flock and mozilla did not have extensions which did this but KallOut does it with much more smartness and also provides support for many more applications than just Mozilla based browsers.

Following are various applications which are supported by KallOut and I am sure there’ll be more applications being supported in future.

To add a little spice to KallOut, I extracted the KallOut firefox extension and modified the RDF file to make it compatible with Flock and Mozilla. KallOut also has a great Dock, where you can send your searches for later review. You can checkout the other nitty grittys of KallOut at the Product Tour Page.

Following is a quick youtube demo of KallOut.

Getting Windows Vista Business and 2007 Microsoft Office system was never so easy. After working on the Vista operating system for countless years and fixing infinite bugs, Microsoft is offering Windows Vista Business and 2007 Microsoft Office for absolutely free at PowerTogether.com.

Sorry my Indian brother’s, this offer is valid in US only (As if Indians don’t use Windows O/S at all). All you have to do is follow 3 simple (No free lunck!) steps to get your free edition of either of these software packages.

As it is free for all (only in US, which I was not aware off), I have all the rights to register for the packages but it turns out that until I agree for at least three webcast to get the software package, not only that but the free Windows Vista Business and 2007 Microsoft Office is available in US only. Its not over yet, there is more to it… I registered using FF (FireFox, Dude!) and after the registration completed I wanted to see the webcast I registered for, and it turns out that I HAVE to use IE to view the webcast (Now that’s lame).

Any way, people in US who have the patience to watch at least 3 webcast and use IE can get free Vista and Office 2007. Click here to get your free copy.

Good Luck!
