Services like iGoogle, Google Reader and other feed aggregators are the best way to keep you updated with what’s happening on the internet. Its really important for bloggers to keep a track of latest developments in the field of technology and someone who does not have a huge list of popular sites on their aggregator is certainly missing on a lot.

I can help you quickly setup an aggregator with a collection of influential sits and blogs by sharing the feeds I follow. Send an e-mail to nerds[at]tnerd.com with the category name (Tech News or Gadgets and Products) you are interested in. Also mention if you would like to have these feeds for iGoogle or Google Reader and I will share them accordingly.

I have noticed a lot of users start using iGoogle and then move on to Google Reader, I am one of them.

This post will help you transfer your feeds from iGoogle to Google Reader.

Login to iGoogle

Visit here and install the gadget.

Click on the “Export OPML” button once the gadget is installed.

Save this as an XML file

Login to Google Reader

Click on Manage Subscriptions

Click on “Import/ Export” tab

Browse and select the exported file and upload it

Select the feeds you want to unsubscribe to and click on “Unsubscribe” button (Skip this step as you don’t have to unsubscribe to any of the feeds)

That’s all, you have now successfully imported all your feeds from iGoogle to Google Reader
