This one is called LastSharp, by Dev.xscheme.de, it lets you download music from Last.fm. All you need to have is a ‘free’ account at Last.fm and you are ready to download your favorite music.

The software not only downloads the desired music but it also downloads the albumart and organizes by artist – album – song kind of hierarchy.

The software is developed by a German developer so the default language is Deutsch but don’t worry, follow the steps discussed in the article to change it to English.

Following steps will run through the process of changing the default language and downloading songs.

Launch the software once the download is complete (Download from here)

Now that’s what the first screen looks like..

Click on the second tab at the bottom of the window and then click on the dropdown and select “English”. Now restart the application to see the changes.

You can search for music based on several criteria’s as shown in the picture below. Just select anyone of them and type in a keyword in the box and hit “Go” to start searching.

Now you will see a list of songs, simply right-click on the song you want to download and hit “Download”

This is the download area. It shows a list of songs already downloaded under “Last Downloads:” and information about the song that is being currently downloaded.

To avoid the process of right-clicking on each of the songs to download, go to the “Quick Settings” tab and check “Continue Downloading automatically” box to download the songs on the list one after another automatically.

Also take a look at the settings under “Advanced Settings” tab were you can select if you want to save covers, remember downloads, etc..

During our review we found SoundCloud extremely easy to use and feature rich which makes listening to music online a good experience.

One thing we mentioned in our SoundCloud Review was that it would be great if the service figures out a way to make money for sustainability. Though we do not think charing the users directly is the greatest way of making money but for a serivice like SoundCloud I wouldn’t mind paying an extra buck.

So here is how to record songs/music from WorldSpace. To record from WorldSpace you will need the following things:   

1. Audio Cable – with regular stereo jacks on both sides
2. WorldSpace with active subscription (Obvious right?)
3. Computer
4. Sound recording software

Now see the image below and follow the steps.

1. Image 1 shows the type of Audio cable required
2. Image 2 shows the headset socket on WorldSpace
3. Image 3 shows the cable in the headset socket of WorldSpace
4. Image 4 shows the other end of the cable in the MIC socket of the Computer (Remember its MIC socket on computer. Mostly MIC is off by default on PC’s, so if you are not able to here anything, the chances are that your MIC is off.)
5. Download and install Free Sound Recorder
6. Start Free Sound Recorder and from the options under "Recording Mixer" select "Microphone"
7. That’s all, Just hit "Record" button to start recording songs!

Steps to record Songs/MP3’s  from the Internet

1. Install the software
2. Get to the setting or options section of the software, search for sound source and select “Mono Mixer” or “Stereo Mixer” and save the settings
3. Visit any MP3 site and start playing the song and hit the “record” button on any of the sound recording software’s installed on your computer.

Now nothing can stop you from recording music from sites like Yahoo Music, Raaga.com and many more similar sites.

Even if it never happened to you this bit of information will help you download songs from shared iTunes across networks. This sweet little software is called “myTunes Redux” once installed it will show a list of Shared iTunes and the songs within, all you need to do to download a song from the shared list is double click on the song and the song is downloaded on your computer!

Don’t be greedy and download all the songs available, soon you will realize that there is no space left on your hard disk. Being choosy helps!
