Few days ago I got a revolutionary idea that I typically thought will change the world (Just another idea!). I wrote to one of the top FaceBook application developer and he replied saying “Interesting app. Will take about 5 days to develop which will cost around € 4000. Looking at the price I thought I don’t know if this will change the world but it will surely change my world.

Anyway, now you know how expensive Facebook applications and application developers are. Developers are also coming up with different framework which reduces the time it takes to develop an application which inturn reduces the cost of the applications. So stay tuned for the Best Facebook Applications to come.

Though these frameworks are still in the nascent stage they are of great help
Facebook.NET is one of them (http://www.nikhilk.net/FacebookNET.aspx) this frame work helps developing Facebook applications in ASP.NET using C# and VB.NET

You can find more information about Facebook.NET here (http://www.codeplex.com/FacebookNET)

Click here to download and try the Facebook.NET SDK

This article discusses why programmers should not have a mind of their own. There are more than a few reasons why creative people should not be Web Developers or Software Engineers.

To start with if a programmer is creative then he cannot control himself but suggest UI changes, functionality changes and if too intelligent then expect nothing less than a brand new business model based on your old one.

Another thing that can happened to creative programmers is that, because they are creative they will come up with a product or an application and start working on (coding) it but in the process of development they might come up with another brilliant new idea and the old one is shelved and the new one starts to see some light on the other end of the tunnel but never comes out of it because now another idea is better.

Usually people who are creative also have a huge EGO because of which they do not like people finding loopholes or improvements in their ideas. This is another reason programmers should not be creative.

Programmers should not fall in love with their own ideas. If this happens then the programmer will do everything from marketing, planning, promotions to partnering and etc… But code.

This is the only reason why companies maintain separate UX design teams. This is why separate marketing and development teams exist.

Got an amazing idea which can take over the world or sweep the world off their feet? You think it’s a Facebook or Yahoo or Google killer but don’t have enough technical knowledge to do it?

If you think that’s the only thing stopping you from becoming next Steve Jobs or Eric Schmidt? Worry no more, you can get your applications developed and put your ideas to reality by hiring a coder on the other end of the world where application developers are available in dozens.

Following is a list of sites where you can hire a coder on hourly or project basis and get your project done.

oDesk (http://odesk.com/) (My Pick)

Rent a Coder (http://rentacoder.com/) (My Pick)

Elance (http://elance.com/) (My Pick)

Guru (http://guru.com/) (My Pick)

Get a Freelancer (http://getafreelancer.com/)

Offshore Software Success (http://offshoresoftwaresuccess.com/)

I Freelance (http://ifreelance.com/)

Get a Coder (http://getacoder.com/)

Freelancer China (http://freelancerchina.com/)

City Talent (http://citytalent.com/)

People Per Hour (http://peopleperhour.com/)

Bizreef (http://bizreef.com/)

These sites have very good interface through which you can keep in regular touch with your programmers and freelancers and track the progress of the project. This is one of the best ways of executing your idea by developing the product and launching it in the market.

These programmers charge depending upon their rank on the website and the rank is an indicator of the programmer’s skills which is based on the projects he/she has completed and delivered. The price tag ranges from $10 to $30.

I hope this helps. Leave comments and let me know if I have missed out on any
