Although a lot of people are eagerly waiting with a lot of annoyance for Verizon not announcing any date of launch of . Not to mention the suspense the company is creating by not even announcing the price.

However, just to make it a little more exciting Verizon has announced a contest to give away 50 BlackBerry Storm mobile phones for free. Verizon has hidden Blackberry Storms clues across Manhattan, so the more you find the more are your chances of winning. Also, the rest of the USA cannot enter the contest as this is is being carried out only in Manhattan.

  1. Use the map to find a close to where you live, work or play.
  2. Click the map’s targets to zoom in on locations and get visual clues.
  3. Once you are at a location, a keyword will be revealed that allows you to enter for a chance to win via TXT message or online entry.

Crackberry started it all by releasing a post on 1st of May, 2008. The article stated that the a Touchscreen device from Blackberry was in works and it could be called .

And now several posts and months later, Blackberry Strom rumors are confirmed and the phone is ready to see the light of the day.

Engadget posted the packaging of the phone and also mentioned that the name Thunder was reserved for the Canada release and this one would be called a Strom.

A review which appeared on Youtube in the late evening on 15th of September, was quickly removed, however, it seems that the Youtube team was not quick enough and the video was copied at several locations, including Youtube itself.

Is it just me or even you guys think that this phone needs a LOT more to just dent sales a little, let alone kill . Well that’s something only time will tell.
