<p><a target="_blank" href="http://tweetbook.in">TweetBook.in</a> is a simple service which lets you download  and backup all your <a href="http://tnerd.com/tag/tweets/" class="st_tag internal_tag" rel="tag" title="Posts tagged with Tweets">tweets</a> in a PDF or an XML format. </p>
<p> The backup optionally includes all the replies made to the account which is being backed-up. <a href="http://tnerd.com/tag/twitter/" class="st_tag internal_tag" rel="tag" title="Posts tagged with Twitter">Twitter</a> API has a limitation which restricts <a href="http://tnerd.com/tag/tweetbook/" class="st_tag internal_tag" rel="tag" title="Posts tagged with TweetBook">TweetBook</a>.in to backup up to 6400 latest updates only. </p>
<p>  The service is simple and straightforward; enter your  <a href="http://tnerd.com/tag/twitter/" class="st_tag internal_tag" rel="tag" title="Posts tagged with Twitter">twitter</a> ID or any <a href="http://tnerd.com/tag/twitter/" class="st_tag internal_tag" rel="tag" title="Posts tagged with Twitter">twitter</a> ID for that matter. </p>
<p><strong>  Here is what the simple <a href="http://tnerd.com/tag/tweetbook/" class="st_tag internal_tag" rel="tag" title="Posts tagged with TweetBook">TweetBook</a> looks like..</strong></p>
<p><span id="more-3610"></span></p>
<p align="center"><img width="418" height="276" alt="TwitterBook" src="http://tnerd.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/05/download-twitterbook.png" /></p>
<p>Just clcik on &quot;Make me my PDF and download the PDF file with your <a href="http://tnerd.com/tag/tweets/" class="st_tag internal_tag" rel="tag" title="Posts tagged with Tweets">tweets</a> and replies. </p>
<p>This is what the document looks like.. it organizes the <a href="http://tnerd.com/tag/tweets/" class="st_tag internal_tag" rel="tag" title="Posts tagged with Tweets">tweets</a> according to the date and also has a time stamp next to each update.</p>
<p align="center">   <object width="500" height="550" data="http://viewer.docstoc.com/" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" name="_ds_5853431" id="_ds_5853431"><param value="doc_id=5853431&amp;mem_id=107964&amp;doc_type=pdf&amp;fullscreen=0&amp;showrelated=0&amp;showotherdocs=0" name="FlashVars" /><param value="http://viewer.docstoc.com/" name="movie" /><param value="always" name="allowScriptAccess" /><param value="true" name="allowFullScreen" /></object>   <br />   <font size="1"><a href="http://www.docstoc.com/docs/5853431/TNerd-Twitter-Backup">TNerd Twitter Backup</a> &#8211; </font></p>
<p> Though the site says &quot;Include Replies&quot; for some reason don&#8217;t see any replies for this account. How about you guys?</p>

The next redefining moment in the evolution of Internet for me was the genesis of the concept of user generated content. I can never believe, what myspace and youtube achieved, in the short stint that they&#8217;ve been around. Blogging has had it&#8217;s own place and moments, but for what has redefined web very recently is concept of mini blogging and I don&#8217;t know for you what comes to mind when someone says mini blogging. For me there&#8217;s no other word but <a href="http://tnerd.com/tag/twitter/" class="st_tag internal_tag" rel="tag" title="Posts tagged with Twitter">Twitter</a> that is almost synonymous to mini blogging and I try to keep finding ways of staying along with <a href="http://tnerd.com/tag/twitter/" class="st_tag internal_tag" rel="tag" title="Posts tagged with Twitter">Twitter</a> day in and day out in spite of hectic schedule.</p>
<p align="justify"><span id="more-1295"></span></p>
<p align="justify">For a blogger (I can start putting myself in that elite category), every day is a new challenge to come up with ideas to blog. And I think professional blogging some where takes away from me the personal part of my web life. I love <a href="http://tnerd.com/tag/twitter/" class="st_tag internal_tag" rel="tag" title="Posts tagged with Twitter">Twitter</a> for this very reason that it somewhere saves my personal life on the web. I know many of the bloggers use it to beautiful market their blog and work and I have nothing against this philosophy. <a href="http://tnerd.com/tag/twitter/" class="st_tag internal_tag" rel="tag" title="Posts tagged with Twitter">Twitter</a> for me is more than a platform to show off my blog posts.</p>
<p align="justify">Sometimes, I get too involved in making a point and this post is an outcome of one such involvement. What I wanted to discuss here is that <a href="http://tnerd.com/tag/twitter/" class="st_tag internal_tag" rel="tag" title="Posts tagged with Twitter">twitter</a> is a great way keeping a record of what you were doing in your life and this demands for backing up <a href="http://tnerd.com/tag/tweets/" class="st_tag internal_tag" rel="tag" title="Posts tagged with Tweets">tweets</a> so you can cherish the moments reading your <a href="http://tnerd.com/tag/tweets/" class="st_tag internal_tag" rel="tag" title="Posts tagged with Tweets">tweets</a> even after 20 years. So, how do we take a backup of <a href="http://tnerd.com/tag/tweets/" class="st_tag internal_tag" rel="tag" title="Posts tagged with Tweets">tweets</a>? There&#8217;s a good solution to this in the form of <a href="http://tweetake.com/">Tweetake</a>.</p>
<p align="justify"><a href="http://tnerd.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/08/tweekake.png" rel="shadowbox[post-1295];player=img;"><img class="alignright alignnone size-full wp-image-1297" style="border: 0pt none; float: right; margin-left: 5px; margin-right: 5px;" title="tweekake" src="http://tnerd.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/08/tweekake.png" alt="" width="208" height="92" /></a>Tweetake allows you to take a backup of the following:</p>
<div>
<ul>
<li><a href="http://tnerd.com/tag/followers/" class="st_tag internal_tag" rel="tag" title="Posts tagged with followers">Followers</a></li>
<li>Friends</li>
<li>Favorites</li>
<li>Your <a href="http://tnerd.com/tag/tweets/" class="st_tag internal_tag" rel="tag" title="Posts tagged with Tweets">Tweets</a></li>
<li>Everything</li>
</ul>
</div>
<p align="justify">Just enter your login credentials and select what backup you want. However, you would have to shut down your <a href="http://tnerd.com/tag/twitter/" class="st_tag internal_tag" rel="tag" title="Posts tagged with Twitter">Twitter</a> client like tweetdeck, twhirl and others.</p>
<p align="justify">In case you want to follow a manual method, follow the steps below courtesy <a href="http://tweetcrunch.com/2008/07/26/backup-your-friends-and-followers-on-twitter/">tweetcrunch</a>:</p>
<p align="justify">1. Put <a href="http://twitter.com/statuses/followers.xml">http://twitter.com/statuses/followers.xml</a> in your address bar of your browser.<br />
2. Save this page in your browser and read it as an XML file, with for example excel. If you have a lot of <a href="http://tnerd.com/tag/followers/" class="st_tag internal_tag" rel="tag" title="Posts tagged with followers">followers</a> then use <a href="http://twitter.com/statuses/followers.xml?page=2">http://twitter.com/statuses/followers.xml?page=2</a> and so on.<br />
3. For your friends use the same process with this link <a href="http://twitter.com/statuses/friends.xml">http://twitter.com/statuses/friends.xml</a></p>
<p align="justify">Have a good time Tweeting. You can follow TNerd.com on <a href="http://tnerd.com/tag/twitter/" class="st_tag internal_tag" rel="tag" title="Posts tagged with Twitter">twitter</a> at <a href="http://twitter.com/tnerd">http://twitter.com/tnerd</a>.</p>
