The cat is out of the bag! Leaked images of the much-anticipated Blackberry Android-based Slider smartphone, codenamed ‘Venice’ have surfaced on the Taiwanese website Tinhte which seems to have acquired one of these amazing slider phones and shared its pictures with the world.
Going by the pictures, there is a 5.4-inch touchscreen display that can slide up to reveal a good-sized QWERTY keyboard or slide down to hide it, making it a regular sized phone. Then there is the beautiful cover glass that is slightly curved around the edges but does not turn into a curved display. If the rumours of a QHD resolution are correct, then the phone could support 1440 x 2560 pixels resolution. One picture even shows the different apps on the screen such as contracts, camera, calendar, Gmail and Google Play Store.
The camera looks to be an 18-megapixel snapper with optical image stabilization and a dual-LED flash while the front one is likely a 5-megapixel one. The phone is said to be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 chipset with a 1.8 GHz hexa-core CPU running Android 5.x Lollipop.
The RAM is supposed to be 3GB while the internal storage details are unclear, but it is certain that the phone comes with a microSD slot alongside the SIM slot on the top edge. The power button is on the left-side while the home volume buttons are on the right. A speaker grille is placed just below the display. While the battery capacity is not completely clear, speculations suggest a 3000 mAh or higher capacity, possible non-removable battery.
