NBA fans are in for a real Christmas Day treat. Nothing beats watching your favourite teams in a friendly holiday match and if the NBA’s calculations work out, we might get to see the Golden State Warriors and Cleveland Cavaliers at the Oracle Arena as a part of a five-game holiday treat this Christmas season.
While officials are keeping mum, the only talk is of the NBA 2015-16 schedule to be released next week, inside sources have confirmed that the two powerhouses will meet head-on in a “headliner” rematch game on Christmas Day.
The Golden State is hosting the contest in Oakland and fans can cheer for either LeBron James or Stephen Curry (depending on their loyalty) as they play against each other. For the Warriors, this will be the second time in three years and fourth in six years hosting a Christmas Day game.
The other teams also expected to play on Dec 25 are Miami Heat and New Orleans Pelicans where Miami Heat will be hosting in South Florida and the team will face Anthony Davis of the Pelicans, the reigning NBA darling. Yes, we know Christmas is still a long way off, but it never hurts to be prepared. So gear up folks and don’t forget to send a thank you note to dear old Santa at the North Pole!
