Asus’ Zen Pad S Debuts in US for $199.99

Asus’s slimmest new Tablet, the ZenPad S 8.0 and the smaller ZenPad 7.0 have finally arrived on US shores with the former on Best Buy shelves for $199.99 and the latter priced at $99.99.

The Android Lollipop device with expandable storage is said to feature, “A gorgeous, Zen-inspired design that fuses aesthetics with functionality, ZenPad S 8.0 is crafted with clean lines, a metallic finish enhanced by an exquisite hairline pattern, and brilliant diamond-cut edges.” At only 0.27 inches (6.85 mm) thick, the ZenPad S 8..0 is as slim as it gets making it light, portable and easy to handle.  For a better understanding of the tablet, here is an overview of both variants:


Asus ZenPad S 8.0

  • 8-inch (2048 x 1536) IPS display with 178-degree viewing angle
  • 3 GHz quad-core 64-bit Intel Atom Z3530 processor

Asus ZenPad S 7.0

  • 7-inch (1024×600) display
  • 1Ghz Intel Atom x3-C3200 processor
  • Android 5.0 Lollipop
  • 1GB RAM
  • 16GB of internal storage expandable via microSD card
  • Front speakers



The tablet is designed with something called ASUS VisualMaster, a suite of visual enhancement tools that optimize the viewing experience on the tablet. It also offers 9 hours of battery life for all surfing, gaming, video watching and music needs Zen UI on the tablet comes with features like ZenMotion, SnapView and ZenUI Instant Updates for better experience.
