The New Polaroid Cube+ Wireless Camera for On-the-go Action

Not only is it tiny, it is also wireless and can sync with your iOS or Android device for some quick on-the-go action shots or HD video recording. We are talking about the new Cube+ from Polaroid.

The latest Cube offering from Polaroid was just announced yesterday at the CE Week in New York and comes with a built-in Wi-Fi to boost your shutterbug potential anytime, anywhere. Yes, your phone probably does take good pictures, but a pictures snapped with a good camera just can’t be beat! Simply sync with your device and use its large screen as viewfinder or control it via the mobile device.

Measuring 1.34 x 1.34 inch, this cube-shaped action camera comes with a companion app called the Polaroid Cube+ app that can be downloaded on any iOS or Android device to allow the camera to connect with smartphones, tablets or other mobile devices. This gives you complete remote control over your Cube + and you can leverage it to edit, upload and directly share on-the-go footage with friends or family online from your phone or tablet.

Hardware-wise the Cube+ comes with a 124-degree wide-angle lens that captures 8-megapixel photos and streams video in 1080p Full HD resolution with 90 minutes of continuous recording. An SD card slot offers the added advantage of expandable memory storage of up to 32GB.

But what is unique to this camera is that it is water resistant up to up to 6.5 feet and comes in two brand new colours – hot pink and glow-in-the-dark green apart from the usual red, blue and black variants. Now that’s stylish! All the models are expected to release at the same time, sometime around August.

So far only the US pricing has been announced, it is expected to retail for $149.99 but no announcement has been made about global availability and country-wise pricing if any.
