Samsung Galaxy S3 is easily one of the most awaited smartphones of the year. As we drew closer to MWC there was a lot of prospect that the Korean giant will showcase its next big thing at the MWC shelves.

However, the event slipped away without throwing any light on the device. Reports now reveal that Samsung Galaxy S3 Android phone is all set to release as early as next month. And Sammy’s planning a big fat marketing campaign for its new superphone.

Apparently, there will be fireworks when the device goes for a universal launch but what’s under its hood that has cooked up such wild anticipations? Let’s take a quick look at Samsung Galaxy S3 features.

The next big device will be sporting an incredibly amazing 4.8” full HD (1080p) display with capacitive multi-touch support with an 16:9 aspect ratio. It will also sport dual cameras but with an 8 megapixel primary camera laced with an Exynos sensor and a secondary 2 megapixel camera for video calling.

Obviously, the device will be all-touch and will sport a new ceramic case that’s also seemingly intended to increase the quality of feel of the device as compared to the current ‘best smartphone’ Galaxy S2.

The device will be running Android Ice Cream Sandwich OS at launch and should be upgradeable to Android Jellybean OS. It will bring along a plethora of integrated services along with amazing features including NFC, DLNA support, Wi-Fi sharing and much more.

Driving all this to maximum smoothness will be a 1.5GHz quad-core processor housed under the ceramic shell. Of course, the chipset will also sport a 4G LTE radio for blazing fast internet connectivity.

Word is in the air that Galaxy S3 advertisements (isn’t that mockup above sleek and suave?) will be aired at 2012 London Olympics. Now, that will draw quite a lot of attention to the device that’s already making waves even we could catch the first official glimpse of it.

That said, it’s supposed to be an unusually surprising and remarkably powerful handset. Not to mention, it’s already being compared with the as yet unreleased and unofficial iPhone 5.

Should the two launch around the same time frame, we will see some fireworks in the air. Are you already excited?

On the contrast, there’s still no official confirmation on and pricing. But ZDNET Korea claims to have confirmed with Cheil Worldwide that it would be around April this year even as multiple sources have suggested an July launch coinciding with the time frame of the 2012 Olympics and of course, just around the same time when Apple’s next iPhone sees the first light of the day.

We will keep you posted as more details surface. Stay tuned!
