Verizon Galaxy Nexus LTE Features and Specs Go Official!

Samsung’s Galaxy Nexus Android phone has already debuted on Verizon Wireless in official videos and Google subsequently brought the announcement by revealing the specs and features of the LTE-sporting beast.

The Verizon Galaxy Nexus Android phone is a hair thicker at 135.5mm (h) x 67.94mm (w) x 9.47mm(d) than its GMS counterpart at 135.5mm (h) x 67.94mm (w) x 8.94mm (d). It’s also slightly heavier and packs a more powerful battery at 1,850mAh to suit that LTE needs.

With a 4.62″ contour display with capacitive multi-touch support, the device features Android 4.0 ICS OS, a 5 megapixel camera with continuous autofocus, HD video recording support, 1.3 megapixel camera, 1.2GHz dual-core processor with 1GB of RAM, 16GB/32GB of onboard storage and much more.

Other interesting features include Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, onboard GPS, onboard LTE video for high-speed internet connectivity, microUSB port, a buttonless all-screen touch interface, built-in NFC sensor, accelerometer, gyro, compass, proximity and barometer, Android 4.0 OS, Face Unlock, Android Beam, voice-to-text capability, plethora of Google apps and integrated social networking.

There are plenty of apps from the Android Market to customize your device. With high speed internet connectivity, you are always connected to the internet with blazing fast speeds even on the go. But, unlike its GSM variant it will come preloaded with My Verizon Mobile and Backup Assistant.

The device is said to debut “later this year” for an unannounced price.

    I'm using a Nokia phone made in 2005 right now, and chose the Galaxy Nexus over the Razr and Iphone 4S. Though I recognize this is a "first world problem", this is one of the hardest/most frustrating waits of my life!!!
