Official : Droid Incredible Android 2.2 Update Now Available!

Just as it was rumored before, Verizon has now released the HTC Droid Incredible Android 2.2 update to Droid Incredible users. The update, which pushes the current Android operating system 2.1 to version 2.2 brings with it a lot of interesting and utilitarian features.

The Droid Incredible Froyo update not only spruces the performance of the device but also embellishes it with a lot of attention-occupying features. Let’s just start with the addition of 720p HD video recording that was pretty much desired but had been missing from the Droid Incredible ever since it launched.

Then there is the inclusion of Adobe Flash Player 10.1 to further  refine the flash-based experience you draw out of the device. Not only this, the Android 2.2 update for Droid Incredible also allows you to convert your device into a Wi-Fi hotspot.

With this feature, users will be able to use their Droid Incredible smartphone as a Wi-Fi hotspot for up to five devices simultaneously, however, a $20 marginal fee will be appended to your bill for availing this service for a limited 2GB data cap.

Besides these, the Droid Incredible Android 2.2 update revs up your browser speed, adds Bluetooth voice dialing feature, brings support for installing apps on your SD card, and even more.

To update Droid Incredible OS, go to SettingsàAbout PhoneàSystem Updates. If you are lucky enough, you’ll be prompted to update your device starting this Friday, but if you do not see a prompt, don’t kill your hopes – perhaps, Verizon is planning to push it in batches for a certain number of users at once.
