Samsung recently announced a new pair of Dual LCD cameras that feature dual LCDs - a primary LCD, the one that’s usually found on the back of the camera, and a secondary LCD that’s inscribed into the face of the camera just by the lens.

The Samsung Dual LCD Cameras feature both style and substance and come with a 14.2 megapixel camera sensor fitted with high quality Schneider KREUZNACH lens and boast optical and digital image stabilization to ensure that you get crisp clear shots in every situation.

Samsung ST600 and ST100 sport 1.8” LCDs -  a display panel that’s relatively bigger than its earlier predecessors, by about 0.3”. The SmartAuto feature of the camera is blessed with scene recognition technology for both still shots and movies, which means the camera does the homework while you prepare to take a shot.

In simple terms, the SmartAuto feature automatically detects and adjusts to the color and brightness of the scene. It also detects motion and subject and assists you in selecting the apt mode for shooting to make things easy.

These dual LCD camera boast a touchscreen with an smart yet easy-to-use interface, touch gesture recognition, one touch shooting, smart face recognition, smart album, touch lock function, HDMI support and much more.

Additional features offered by the cameras’ front LCD screens include a self-portrait mode, a couples mode which will automatically snap a photo when it detects two faces tilted toward each other, a children’s setting which will play a cartoon animation with sound to encourage young ones to smile for the camera, and a self-timer which provides a visual countdown so that everyone posing for a photo knows exactly when to smile.

Another interesting feature, referred to as Jump Shot mode allows you capture three still shots consecutivley as you queue before the camera and peruse the shot through its fornt LCD to capture an image ‘that essentially freezes their subjects in mid-air’.

The St600 comes with a powerful 27mm wide angle focal length, 5X optical zoom while the ST100 boasts a 35mm focal length with an internal 5X optical zoom – a first of its kind for a dual LCD camera.
