ABC News today announced the availability of a new iPad that savors the  users with the latest news on  their iPads and helps users stay connected with the happenings around the globe. The abc news iPad app is designed to provide users with an innovative and optional 3D Globe interface that presents news headlines as parts of the rotating 3D globe.

To view the news story of your choice, you can just tap on the new s headline on the 3D globe and the iPad display will immediately be transformed into a digital news reader for you. The abc news app for iPad recognizes several touch screen gestures, which serve as a means of controlling the application.

For instance, swiping your finger on the globe will cause it spin and present you with even more headline/ news features on the screen. The shake-to-shuffle  feature can be used to shuffle the articles and videos.

You can customize the app to filter the news according to display your favorite topic or news show. The iPad ABC News app also allows you to bookmark news stories and saves them so that you can read them later on the go, even if you are online.

If 3D news globe isn’t  your choice of news, you can switch to standard ABC News layout at the tap of a button. Integrated support for social networking allows you to share the stories of your choice on Facebook, twitter or email. The application is compatible with iPads running iOS 3.2 or later.
