Facebook Hits 500 Million Users Mark this Morning. Congratulations!

Facebook announced the 500 millionth registered user this morning. Mark, released a video thanking each registered user to mark the occasion. It’s a huge milestone for a social networking site which is growing at a breath taking pace.
The last announcement about 400 million registered users came about 4 months ago in Feb. Todays announcement shows that the service is adding over 50 million users every single month. The company is opening offices around the country and also targeting strategic international locations to accelerate the growth.
