Acer Announces a Nice Looking 7-inch Tablet – Hits the Market in Q4!
Acer CEO, Lanci, surprised the reporters with a nice looking 7-inch Android based tablet (Picture below the fold). Yes, a tablet! We’ve seen several Killer-seasons in the past couple of years, iPod-Killer, iPhone-Killer and currently we are living in the iPad-killer age, unless Apple comes up with a bigger version of iPad and calls it something else.
Anyway, coming back to the surprise gadget, Lanci, showed at an Acer press event in Beijing today. It’s an Android based device which boasts of a color-scrren, QWERTY physical keyboard with 3G connectivity most likely.
Without disclosing much about the price and device specs, Lanci, talked about selling the device through the mobile operators as one of the options. The unnamed Acer tablet is expected to hit the market in early Q4.
I don’t know about you all but it looks nice to me. I like its smaller size as opposed to 10-inch iPad which makes it more mobile and easy to slip in and carry. Can’t talk much about the device yet as there are no details available but it sure is an eye candy.

So, besides HP Slate or Hurricane and a gazillion other wannabe iPad killers we have one more to look forward to!
Did you guys come across any device worth switching with an iPad?
