Blackberry Bold 9700 OS Firmware Update Officially Springs To Life, Becomes Available For Download

Blackberry BoldJust couple of days after the leaked Blackberry OS went live, Cosmote has officially announced the latest operating system version for the Blackberry Bold 9700.

Users can now update their device firmware to Blackberry Bold OS Should you forget, let us remind you again to back up your device data using Blackberry Desktop Manger before you proceed for the update.

The Blackberry Bold 9700 which was first announced in October 2009 features a 2.4 inches TFT color screen with a touch sensitive optical trackpad, a traditional Full Qwerty blackberry keyboard, a standard 3.5mm audio jack, 256 MB of onboard storage expandable up to 16GB via a microSD card.

A 3.15 megapizel autofocus camera with LED flash and image stabilization does still shots and motion video recording at perhaps at 30fps while the 624MHz processor makes best use of the available 256MB RAM to provide support for Bluetooth, Blackberry Maps, an A-GPS system, and a HTML browser among others.

Reports reveal that the Blackberry Bold 9700 firmware update brings makes the interface more snappier and web browsing a little faster. Blackberry Bold 9700 users over cosmote are the first to get the Blackberry Bold 9700 firmware upgrade.

 However Blackbery users can still proceed with the Blackberry Bold 9700 firmware update and delete the vendor.xml file if they decide to update it on a carrier other than Cosmote.
