Twitter @Anywhere – If You Don’t Come to Us We Will Come to You!
Everyone who was expecting to hear/see the launch of Twitters revenue model or ad platform was left disappointed. Instead, Ev Williams, announced a new integrated platform which makes Twitter more commonly accessible across the web.
Users can now follow/unfollow, tweet, etc.. Â from sites that use the @anywhere javascript to offer few of the Twitter features on their sites.
This will not only add to twitters popularity but improve the current state of Twitter which shows a considerable percentage of users who register with Twitter, tweet a few times (in single digits) and don’t come back.
Maybe Twitter is using @anywhere to reach out to users (if you don’t come to us we will come to you) like these and change the numbers a little bit. This platform is still under testing. You will start seeing it in action on sites like Amazon, Youtube, Huffington Post, etc.. in the testing phase.
Sites do not have to work their way through complex API’s to get @anywhere implemented on their site. You can get it up and running by adding a simple JavaScript on the site.
