Google Gesture Search App For Android Does Hand Writing Recogniton Tasks, Makes Searches Easy
Google Labs recently released one of the best Android apps, that employs Android handwriting recognition technology to enable gesture search on your Android Phone.
Gesture Search is an application for Android mobile phones that allows you to search your contacts, bookmarks, apps and music by scribbling a letter / gesture on the blank space of your phone’s screen.
When you first install the application, it gives you a brief on-screen demo of gesture commands and then you are ready to go. By default, the Google Gesture Search app lists displays one common list of search results containing apps,  bookmarks and contacts.
However, you can customize the application to display search results from ‘music’ as well. You may also prefer to limit your search to display only result data from contacts or apps or bookmarks, depending on what you desire.
Google describes gesture search as -
Do you find it hard to find a contact or locate an application from a list of hundreds of items on an Android phone? Or do you find it stressful to search for an item by typing in its title while on the go?

Android Gesture Search App – Search Query ‘U’
Gesture Search from Google Labs lets you search your Android-powered device by drawing alphabet gestures on the touch screen. It allows you to quickly find a contact, a bookmark, an application, or a music track from hundreds or thousands of items, all in one place. It is fast and fun to use.
To begin searching a query, you just need to gesture/ write on the screen and it will instantly display search results. Should anything go wrong while writing, you can use the ‘undo’ gesture command to wipe off the gesture and start over again.
The primary criteria for using the Gesture Search App is that you must be using a device running Android 2.0 or later versions. Google Search is currently available in English version for US users.
