CES 2011 Will Host The BIGGEST iLounge (iPod/iPhone/iPad Accessories) Display Ever!
It’s just been couple of weeks since CES 2010 Las Vegas and the tech enthusiasts are already excited about the next year’s CES, CES 2011 Las Vegas.
CEA just announced that the iLounge Pavilion at the 2011 International CES will be the largest display of Apple related products and services in the history of CES. According to CEA iLounge Pavilion was the biggest hit among more than 100 exhibitors and over 120,000 visitors.
The demand from the exhibitors for the event next year has already doubled the exhibit space from 25,000 square feet to 50,000 square feet. More established brands dealing with Apple accessories and services are expected to join the line of exhibitors in 2011.
“The inaugural iLounge Pavilion was a tremendous success and a major destination on the show floor for the more than 120,000 individuals who attended the 2010 International CES,” said Karen Chupka, senior vice president, events and conferences, CEA. “We received such positive response from exhibitors that we have already doubled the footprint of the iLounge Pavilion at the 2011 CES, making it the largest display of its kind in CES show history.”
Apple has managed to create an eco-system around its products which not only help the small and large businesses but it guarantees its own success. This is no different from the current situation in the mobile industry. One of the biggest reasons I went with iPhone instead of a Pre or Android phone was its Application base which majorly supports iPhone sales.
The same eco-system in terms of accessories will influence a buyers decision when it comes to buying an iPod touch or a Archos any other media player.
CEA forecasts a strong quarter for handset category and smartphones specifically. This category is expected to generate $17 billion in shipment revenue and more than 52 million in unit sales in 2010. Keeping these forecasts in view, the markets seem to be reacting to the multiple steps taken by the government to improve the economic situation.
I know I am planning to spend quite a bit on electronics this year. My yearly budget for electronics goes up like defense budget of a big country which usually leaves a huge deficit at the end of it.
How about you? What’s that one Gadget you are eyeing this year?
