Microsoft : Windows 7 Is The Fastest Selling Operating System
With the its latest record revenue outcome, Microsoft is nothing but celebrating success after its operating system sales did wonders. Yes, things from Windows arena did maximum contribution to get it a $19 billion dollar revenue.
Most of the revenue was generated by Windows 7 sales which make it the “fastest selling operating system” in the history of the company. The total number of licensed copies scaled the 60 million mark as of yesterday.
Though other areas did relatively less, particularly revenue from the Bing sector was unsatisfactory as it fell by 2% while Google jumped by 17% through the ad revenues. That’s obvious, as Google is seamlessly everywhere and Bing is starting to hold on to things just yet.
One possible reasons that are believed to be a part of this success story is the Microsoft Vista hiccup that must have triggered organizations and individuals to switch to the new OS. Even otherwise, Microsoft Windows 7 is great, exceptionally compatible with most of the programs and is visually stunning.
While the company officials like Peter Klein, who is the chief financial officer at Microsoft, believe that “Exceptional demand for Windows 7 led to the positive top-line growth for the company,” they also add Microsoft’s “continuing commitment to managing costs allowed us to drive earnings performance ahead of the revenue growth.”
I don’t intend to disappoint Mac lovers but if you are using Windows 7, you’ll trust Microsoft to every bit of its word on Windows 7 revenue and you already know how the Windows 7 magic wand is doing everything good to arrest people’s attention.

You could almost believe that Microsoft made such a poor job of Vista on purpose to really push the Sales of Windows 7, anytone I know what got lumbered with Vista is replacing it with Windows 7.
