DELL Mini 5 Spotted in Davos – Coming Soon to America!
It’s wrong to compare a Gadget which was launched at a crazy press event by Steve Jobs with another gadget that was spotted at a parking lot. Sorry! But that’s how this one goes.
Michael Arrington, spotted the DELL Mini 5, at the World Economic Forum in Davos and none other than Michael Dell himself was showing it off in the video (below the fold).
Trust me at this point, I am more excited about Dell Mini 5 than I am about the iPad. A lot of bloggers are calling it a DELL tablet, but I wont abuse that term like Apple did with iPad. Dell Mini 5 is a Android 1.6 powered device with handsome specs. It boasts of a 1GHz Snapdragon chip, 5 mgapixel camera, Wi-Fi, Bluetoosh, 3G, etc.. (Not a lot of tech details are clear yet).
The only turnoff about this particular device is, its price! The rumored price for this device is $1,098 before carrier subsidy. Compare that to an iPhone, Nexus One, Palm Pre Plus or a Motorola’s Droid. These are all sub $600 phones before the carrier subsidy.
