Palm Pre Plus For Verizon Gets 16 Gigs of Storage, Peps Up With Double RAM!
Just about a month ago, we knew that Palm Pre Verizon and Palm Pixi Verizon were coming soon, they were recently showcased at CES 2010, and now it’s quite the day we’ve been anticipating.
Of course we are impressed with the imminent return of creativity in Palm Phones, particularly Palm Pre and now it’s smarter sibling, Palm Pre Plus will endeavor for Palm’s success, and this is absolutely unmistaken, as far as we believe.
The Palm Pre Plus is a Verizon version of the original Palm Pre and apart from being branded with a new carrier, the Palm Pre Plus packs in impressive functionality, just in time to save Palm and bear more fruit to its stakes.
Tech specs are almost the same, a 3.1 inch 320×480 capacitive touch screen with multitouch functionality, 3 MP camera with LED flash, slide-out QWERTY keypad, Bluetooth and Wi-fi connecitivity and the absolutely original WebOS interface (click here for complete list of Palm Pre features).

Hardware wise, Palm Pre Plus has been subjected to a little refinement, particularly talking about the improved build quality, more solid feel of the smart slider, and the revamped keyboard layout which is now a little more clicker and comfortable.
The home button that pleasured the Pre users on the original version is now replaced with a LED slit interface. Onboard storage capacity have been doubled accounting for the device’s total internal storage to be 16GB while the addition of an extra 256MB RAM seriously brings more vigor to the WEB OS functionality of the phone, and enhances 3D gaming experience.

Palm WebOs : The Multitasking Genius
Palm Pre which would earlier confine to error messages on opening about 10 cards or more can now survive multitasking tortures to run morethan 50 applications simultaneously and that wouldn’t have been possible without the extra RAM for the Palm Pre Plus (video after the break to juice you up!)
While the software did not go through a lot of filtering process, it is still, and was always, one of the most potential operating systems ever designed for mobile phones.
We’ve seen Palm continuously push updates to the WebOS, both major and minor and so expect the same to happen with the Palm Pre Plus, and that will eventually fix minor speed issues as Palm promises to fire the Over-the-Air (OTA) updates soon.
