TwitterSysomos just released Twitter stats and comparisons between Twitter usage between countries, cities, etc… The numbers suggest that the % of Twitter users have dropped from 62% to 51% in the last 6 months. Does this mean users are quitting Twitter? Not really!

It only means that Twitter is diversifying its reach when it comes to usage. There are a lot more countries on the list than they were 6 months ago. For example, they were 7 countries on the list with usage equal to or more than 1% as appose to the latest statistics which have 11 countries in the same percentage range.

Brazilians are going crazy with Twitter as they witnessed the highest jump in the total number of users from 2% to almost 9%. Also, they stood 3rd when it comes to most tweets behind US and UK respectively.

The report also suggests that the usage of Geotagging is almost nil as only .23% users are currently using that feature; I am one of the .23% :)

Following graphs give you a good idea of how twitter is gaining momentum and spreading across the world quickly.
