A fresh wave of rumors about 7” Apple Tablet (Apple iTouch) have hit the blogosphere. This time around the culprits to start it all are Boy Genius who claims to have confirmed news through well-placed sources that the new gadget from Apple has a 7” wide screen.
Another tech blog, Businessinsider, claims that Apple has requested a few selected developers to enhance their applications for a full size screen. As long as the application runs on a full size screen it should be fine.
It also states that the new tablet will be launched in Jan next year which leaves enough time for the developers to prepare for the 2010 iPhone launch in June-July.
Financial times suggests that the new tablet will be 4 times the size of an iPhone which takes the screen size to a good 10-11” and the tablet is well on its way be launched early next year.
FT also reported that Apple has hired Yerba Buena Center for the Arts in San Francisco in January. Last time Apple reserved that venue was in September when Steve Jobs showed off the new iPods. If past trends are any clue then we already know what to expect at the event
Stories coming from so many trusted sources cannot be ignored. I don’t think Apple will launch more than one tablet or multiple sizes but I am sure we will get to see a new fascinating gadget from Apple in Jan.
