Mozilla has launched the latest version of the Firefox twin, the Mozilla Thunderbird. The new email client is designed to provide improved security, robust performance, simple interface and lots more.

Let’s take a quick look at what’s new in Thunderbird 3.0.

The following is a brief list of Mozilla Thunderbird features .

1. Tabbed Browsing:

Just like the tabbed browsing experience in Firefox, Opera, Safari and other popular web browsers, the Mozilla Thunder 3 packs in the ‘tabs’ feature which can be used to view different emails in different tabs.

New search Interface:

A new searching technology in Mozilla Thunderbird 3 uses filtering and timeline tools to ‘pin point’ searches and also performs indexing of results which are viewed as tabs to get the mails faster.

Archive Messages:

When you have an important mail to keep but you don’t want in email after you’ve read it once, you can move the message to the archive gallery. These messages can be later viewed by selecting the Archives button.

You can customize the Thunderbird user interface using the Customizable skins that all abundantly available on the web. Choose from innumerous categories including the latest movies, famous landmarks and Japanese tattoos.

Add on Manager:

The built in Add on Manager takes all the trouble with the add ons and helps you manage them once you install any. It will make you feel guided and easy.

Mail Account Setup Wizard:

Once you are done with installing or upgrading Mozilla Thunderbird on your computer, just use the mail account setup wizard for setting up an email account in one-two-three way. The wizard will guide you through the process and unlike earlier version does not require you to know IMAP, SMTP, SSL/TLS settings.

Just provide your name, email address, and password to the wizard. The Thunderbird Mail account setup wizard very quickly scans its server database and reciporactes with the appropriate email settings.

Attachment Reminder:

There is also an ‘attachment reminder’ feature in the latest version of the MozillaThunderbird which alerts you by highlighting any documents or attachments attached with the mail.

One Click Address Book:

This features lets you manage all your email contacts easily, just at the cost of a few clicks. You can add, delete or update a contact at a click using the one click address book.

Activity Manager:
