The Blackberry Application Store has very recently put up an application called Gwabbit which automatically monitors and manages you email contacts.

Like most of the Blackberry apps, this application comes in two variants. A paid version and a free version(which is just fully functional like the paid version) . The free version alerts the contacts that they have been added to  your address book .

The science behind the operation of this ‘award-winning’ Gwabbit app is simple. It’s a client server interaction where whenever an email is read or opened on your Blackberry phone, the client scans for an email signature, which most of the blackberry users never miss to include.

If any such info is found, the server sends a prompt to the client whether to save the contact info from the current email or discard it. If you wish to, you can save all the contact info associated with the mail at the touch of a button. Short and Simple. Isn’t it?
