Google Goggles for Android (only!) – Use Visual Inputs to Search Google!
![]() |

Google Goggles just added to Google Labs section brings more innovation to the existing search technology, plus it makes it clear that iPhone community no longer enjoys preferential treatment when it comes to application launch. There are no points for guessing what has brought this change, its Google’s own Android!
The newly launched application not only searches Google’s indexed based on a visual input instead of keyword but it also shows results based on the live video captures based on the GPS information. Yep that’s augmented reality!
So next time if you want to search for some information when you are on the streets or in a book shop or at a gallery just click a picture and send it to Google to get related information.
The application also doubles up as a augmented reality application by helping you find out more information about businesses by just pointing the camera at it.
As mentioned before, this application is only available on Android platform. iPhone users will have to wait to use this application and yea don’t forget the community is still waiting to use Voice guided directions on Google maps.
