NokiaLogo-full“Patience is bitter, but its fruit is sweet”. The latest buzz around the corner is about the Nokia N900 which has sunk its price surprisingly by almost $169. That’s really one piece of good news if you were just about to buy yourself one.

To be clear, let us say that the Nokia N900 which was originally priced for about $649 is now available for as less as $480 (minus the $50 mail in rebate) on Amazon.

If you haven’t read our earlier article on Nokia N900, let’s warm up with what the device offers, again. It’s a smart Nokia tablet phone that has a 5 MP camera, dual LED flash, 32GB of internal storage which can be expanded to up to 48GB using a microSD card.

Above all, what’s new about this Nokia Phone is that it’s the first device to run the Maemo OS and is powered by an ARM Cortex-A8 processor.

At first glance, it may seem a little bulky but then, the size very much compensates for its wide orbit of interesting and utilitarian features. Well, you can click here to know more about Nokia N900.

Frankly, we do not consider that this deals that Amazon offers is going to boost up the sales for the Nokia 900 Tablet exponentially or even to a remarkable number.  While the price tag lets the weight around your neck a little loose, it is still some $180 expensive than a usually netbook with a starter configuration.

I find it funny that $480 is considered a low price, now i know that the Nokia N900 is an impressive bit of kit but nearly half a grand?! That isn't cheap, not when you can get an iPhone for free on contract!

@iphonecasesrule -- The iPhone 3GS was $300 when launched. The N900 is not your average device. It is not aimed at the 'iPhone' or 'fanboi' market. Instead, it is generally directed toward, well, nerds and hackers. If the iPhone could legally do what it is physically capable of (I hear Apple granted you peons with ability to copy and paste recently, at least) it would be a prized possession also, instead of a hollow and useless status symbol that will end up in a landfill once the 'built-in' battery wears out or Apple pawns off the next iteration of mediocre iProducts. Bleh.
