What’s your view on charging your Nokia phone wirelessly? Ah, that’s something we have never heard off from Nokia yet, right? But, you’ll soon be hearing on this subject, literally, because Nokia has joined hands with the Wireless Power Consortium(WPC) to bring wireless charging technology to its devices.

Although cable charging is something that is universally prevalent with Nokia phones and a 1-2-3 easy process, Nokia aims to simplify the user experience of battery charging by introducing wireless charging technology to its devices.

We’ll soon be seeing Nokia mobile phones being powered using the magical wireless charging pad or something just like the Wild Charge Power Disc that we recently reported. So, you don’t have to battle plugging in the charging pin to your mobile phone’s charging socket or be unusually careful while charging your mobile phone.

How It Should Look : Wireless Charging Pad (For Nokia?)

You’ll perhaps need a Nokia charging pad for your mobile phone (or a sort of Nokia Wireless Charger), switch it on and then just rest your handset on it for the battery to charge.

The Wireless Power Consortium which believes that connectors and cables are ugly and should give way to hassle-free wireless power to your mobile phones says:

By joining the Wireless Power Consortium, Nokia continues to support the open standards approach that aims to meet these consumer expectations. Wireless Power Consortium is the first serious effort by the leading companies to harmonize the wireless charging technologies.”

We did tell you earlier that Nokia is making friends and every time it does, Nokia gives its mobile phone owners a reason to smile.
