Nokia N900 Perfectly Blends Tablet PC With A Smart Phone, Now Available For Pre-order!

Nokia’s Tablet Series lineup just got a little bigger with a very substantial extension . Under the focus is the Nokia N900, which is the latest addition to Nokia Tablet Series. But, the Nokia N900 is not just a tablet device; it also doubles as a cell phone. Yep, that’s right.
The Nokia N900 is sanctified with a powerful Linux-based Maemo OS which will give the users a desktop-like feel and superior performance strokes with an easy to use intelligent interface.
Feature wise, this Nokia Tablet Phone is quite analogous to the Nokia N97 but for the Maemo OS. A 3.5 inch TFT display with resistive touch screen assures of sharper video playbacks and crisp image views besides silently appealing your attention.
The Nokia N900 mobile computer has a full QWERTY slider keyboard that comes in really handy when typing mails or responding to messages or even while searching the web. It also has a 5 MP auto-focus camera with Carl Zeiss optics that is supported by a Dual LED flash for shooting brighter and clearer shots in the dark.

Nokia N900: Computer-grade performance in a handset
It is packed with a powerful web browser driven by the Mozilla engine to bestow a desktop like web experience combined with the pleasures of full-screen browsing and flash support. Copy and paste from webpages into email and vice versa is also possible.
When Nokia says desktop-like, it really means it. This Nokia Mobile Computer N900 is designed to handle multitasking, so that you can easily switch between open applications or return to homescreen to check for email or weather updates on those customizable widgets.
The smart Panorama Desktop feature of the Nokia N900 allows you to use multiple desktops at any instance. You can create as many personalized desktops as you want, one for music, one for friends and the other one for widgets and so on.

Nokia N900 Mobile Computer: Raw Power. Wholesome Pleasure
Not just this, apply themes and wallpapers to your desktops and switch between desktops at just a click. Wirelessly update your Maemo 5 device software over Wi-Fi or 3G connections and the device automatically imbibes the available updates over the air, hassle-free, wirelessly.
A fully customizable homescreen with support for widgets and advanced personalization is something that would be first to please you with the device. All this wouldn’t be possible if it weren’t for the credit of the powerful ARM Cortex A8 600 MHz, PowerVR SGX graphics and 1GB application memory (256MB RAM and 768MB virtual memory).
Just like the Nokia N97, the Nokia N900 has 32GB of internal storage which can be expanded to up to 48GB using a 16GB microSD card. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v2.1, FM Transmitter with Radio, 10Mbps HSDPA and 2MBPs HSUPA support.
Maemo Select – Maemo Select is a place to download your favorite apps from the online downloads community, which include apps for twitter for now. Perhaps, other services for social networking sites like Facebook, Flickr, Snapfish, etc should pop up soon.
Make free calls to anywhere in the world using the Skype support. You’ll just need a Wi-Fi or 3G connectivity and a Skype account of course.
The Nokia N900 will be available in select markets from October 2009 with an estimated retail price of EUR 500 excluding sales taxes and subsidies. The Nokia N900 will be displayed at Nokia World, Stuttgart, on September 2.
