Sony Photo frames are a talk of the past, it’s now the era of digital photo frames.

Earlier, and even now, we uphold all our memories and joys in the regular photo albums. But, now let’s give this a break. How long can you save your album from wearing and tearing off due to use.

And Sony, understanding the changing trend, has launched yet another digital photo album frame (Model No: DPF-D727/BQ) to extend its S-Frame series of digital photo albums. It features a 7-inch LCD screen with WVGA display on a 16:10 aspect ratio.

The Sony Swarovski Digital Photo Frame1GB of packed storage memory is good enough to store roughly 750 snaps of 5MP each, 1150 snaps if 3MP each, 1400 snaps of 2MP each and approx 375 images of 10MP each without flash or 200 snaps of 10MP each with flash.Whoa! I think this will do.

Sure you can use a Memory Stick PRO, Memory Stick PRO Duo, SD card, MMC, Compact Flash, xD-Picture Cards and SDHC cards to expand storage and pack in more, if this is not enough.

The Sony Digital Picture Frame connects to your system using the USB port and supports JPEG and RAW files. It is wall mountable, comes with an accelerometer (you have heard enough of it, right?) which enables you to view photos in both portrait and landscape modes. It is designed to automatically resize images to fit the display for that 800×480 pixels resolution.

Images can be displayed in varied modes like a full image, a thumbnail images and so on and switching modes shouldn’t be a big deal with the compatible remote control that is bundled with the box.
