Twitter has become the new, unique and effortless form of self-expression which in online terminology means “user generated content”.
The one who comes up with the brightest idea and uses the available content is the smart one. This is not very new but what’s new here is how online content is starting to entertain the readers offline.
Twitter Wit is a good example of how one can filter and use the available content for a specific purpose which in this case is Humor!
Nick Douglas, founding editor of valleywag.com has put together a book which has a collection of the funniest tweets on Twitter.
I’ve read through a few of the tweets on the book and let me tell you they are indeed funny, it’s just amazing what people come up with in the most bizarre situations in real life.
If you are not one of those who is only interested in raunchy humor then you will like this book for sure..

This Twitter Wit book looks awesome. I've been reading about it in a couple other places and the Tweets inside seem to be genuinely funny. I think its also nice to see the people involved in Twitter recognize their service as a communication tool, as well as, a source of entertainment.
I thought I'd share an interesting project with you that I think is very much in the same vain as Twitter Wit. It is called Twaxed. Twaxed.com is a website that collects all of the funniest tweets on Twitter, similar to Twitter Wit, but goes one step further and allows Internet users to vote on them. If I were to describe it, I would say its like an FMyLife, combined with a Digg, combined with a Twitter. I hope you check out the website at http://www.Twaxed.com.
