Samsung Unveils S9110 – World’s Slimmest Watch Phone!

CES 2009 had brought us a wave of appealing innovations in gizmos and from those innumerous proclamations about the heart stealing gadgets, yet another one is publicly announced.

We are talking about a Samsung Watch Phone. No, its not just any other watch phone you are planning to buy for your daughter. Follow up to find out why?

Samsung Electronics has now finally released its Watch Phone S9110 after it was first announced at CES 2009. The company claims that Samsung Watchphone S9110 is the World’s Slimmest Watch Phone available till date.

The 11.98 mm thin stainless steel body of the watch gives a sturdy yet decent look while the leather strap for the watch certainly deserves an admiration, of course not more than the watchphone itself.

A 1.76” scratch proof touch screen sits on the top of the watch and displays 262k colors. Want some music to your ears? No Problem. The Samsung Watch Phone S9110 also comes with a built-in decent MP3 player which can be paired with a Bluetooth v2.1 A2DP headset when you are not attending a call.

Other special features of the watch include a speakerphone, Voice Recognition ability which is perhaps meant to be used with the mail client. Oh yes, an email client. The Samsung Watch Phone is designed to synchronize with Outlook Email Client and alert you of the important business mails on the go.

The Samsung Watch Phone does not facilitate video calls unlike its rival LG GD910 (which is priced upto three times more than Samsung’s Watch Phone). Reason? It lack 3G support, seems Samsung was intended on earning it a name as World’s Slimmest Watch Phone even though 3G support had to be thrown for that cause.

The Samsung WatchPhone S9110 is stuffed with 40MB of internal memory, supports 900/1800MHz Bands and is priced at $639. It is set to debut in France later this month followed by other European Markets.
