    Yeah, yet another Windows-only device, that will not work under Linux or Mac OS X. It requires some closed-source driver to be installed under Windows, so it can do its magic. Instead, I bought (at some higher cost) a fingerprint-protected device three years (!) ago, which is completely self-sufficient for regular use. It uses the same finger-swiping technology. This device uses Windows for the management utility, where I device the partitioning and fingerprint enrollment. But once it's done, I'm free to use it anywhere, regardless of the operating system. I use it under Solaris, Linux, Mac OS X, and (when I have no choice) Windows.

    BTW: This device is made by MXI Security, http://www.mxisecurity.com and is known as the Stealth MXP.
