Nokia Pulse – A Pocketable Projector Concept Phone

Nokia has a bunch of concept phones under its sleeve and the most interesting, as it seems to me, is the Nokia Pulse Projector. I’d rather address this Nokia Concept Phone as a Transformer Phone for the fact that the power of a projector, multi media device, and a smart phone are beautifully packed into one gadget.

The Pulse Phone

Yanko Designs, one of the most prominent name in concept gadgets designers, has come up with their latest Concept Phone, which uses a tiny LED projector that can be paired with the phone for operability or simply said, the mobile phone functions as a remote control to the Pulse.

Board meetings, conferences and project presentations are no more confined to conference halls. You can now call on a group discussion or a presentation on your latest project anywhere and everywhere by using the slides saved on your phone, lets your clients to have fly down there.

The Nokia Pulse Projector requires Pulse technology and uses a LED system based on DLP’s display technology for producing high quality imagery. All you need is just a flat surface, a wall or a table to start playing them from your and experience the rich 1000 ANSI lumens brightness that produces 16.7 million colors right from the lens of your Nokia Projector Phone.

Or would you like to multiply the entertainment experience by viewing images and videos on your mobile on a contrastingly large (15- to 60-inch images projected at 7.87 feet) display that should support a 1500:1 contrast ratio for WXGA (1280×768) resolution.

Pulse  also functions as an NXT speaker with Dolby Sound to give you a rich sound quality.Below the rotating projector head are two web cameras, one on each side and a set of stereo microphones are closely secluded just next to it.   Projector Phone also boasts a main power switch on one of its sides to switch the projector on and off.

The Pulse Projector needs to rest on a wireless charging station for a battery recharge and it is good to know that you will not have to tangle with the wires.

It is absolutely wireless and uses the Wi-Fi on your Cell Phone to upload videos, presentations and any other multimedia content that can be played on the Pulse Projector.

We have seen a few gadgets in the recent past that could be termed as mini or pocket able projectors. But this one is absolutely an eye catcher and an attention stealer. There are no any official announcements on whether the Pulse Projector would be developed or would it just remain a geek’s impractical dreamy possession. No concrete revelations  yet.
