Very recently we learnt that Google acquired 1 million phone numbers for its Voice based service, Google Voice, previously known as Grand Central! We knew launch of Google Voice was just around the corner.
The company officially rolled-out the invite program of the service. So, if you have already registered, expect to receive an invite anytime or click here to register for an invite.
The blog post which announced the invites also encourages users to reserve the number they like as soon as possible so that they get what they like.
A smart interface lets you choose numbers based on words.
A user can associate all the numbers, Mobile, Office, Home, etc.. to one Google Voice number. Once registered, incoming calls can be managed, based on numbers, groups, etc..
